Pournari I: Construction of a full hydroelectric plant (4 units) on the Arachthos river including a concrete dam (spillway) of 41.6m height.

The hydraulic project Pournari II was built downstream of Pournari I. It operates as a regulating reservoir ensuring the continuous water flow at the riverbed and the outfall of Arachthos river, through the year, thus contributing to the rational and efficient use of the area irrigation system.
It is  an earth dam at the left bank of the river, 2m long and 15m high with a  130 m high cement damm.
The power station houses 3 Units with a total power of 31,5W.
Average annual energy production is 45 GWH.
The largest part of the project was cnstructed by TERNA S.A. for PPC ( Public Power Corporation).
